Chowder sat in a shelter for over a month with no interest. We couldn't take it anymore and decided he needed to get out. We found a foster for him, and he's become quite the student, learning manners like sit and shake and how to walk on leash. (That one is a work in progress.) He's a very sweet, happy boy who likes attention and affection. He'd do best with an owner who will be consistent and help him learn the ropes. He probably wasn't taught much in the way of manners in his earlier life, but his foster is doing a wonderful job of making up for that. 

No young children, please, as one of the things he's still learning is how to take treats nicely, and he hasn't learned not to pull on a leash. 

He's being fostered in LA County, so please be patient if you're interested, as we'll have to coordinate with you and the foster to arrange a meet and greet.
