Teddy is a big old goofball. Although he's technically a senior at 9 years of age, he's got the spirit and frequently the energy of a much younger dog. But that doesn't mean he's immature. He's an easygoing fellow who charms everyone he meets. For 42 pounds, he can pull pretty well on a leash so could use some help in learning to walk nicely. He's a very curious guy who simply ADORES treats and will ham it up in hopes of getting one. Teddy was one of dozens of dogs taken from a puppy mill in Missouri a couple of months ago and cared for by National Mill Dog Rescue in Colorado. We applaud that group's dedication to the dogs in its charge. Teddy and the other dogs were treated for medical issues and evaluated for behavior issues before going to several rescues. The other dog we got from that situation has been adopted, but Teddy is still looking for his home. Whoever adopts him will be thrilled with their new friend -- he's truly a gem. Teddy does have some severe arthritis in one front leg so would do best in a home without stairs that he would have to use consistently. He is on medication for that that requires that he have blood work every six months to ensure it isn't causing any damage.
