Hiro lost his home -- and so did his family. He found a temporary foster with a good Samaritan who couldn't keep him because she already had as many dogs as were allowed. So Hiro came to Shamrock, where we've discovered the sweetest, nicest little boy imaginable. The vet assures us he's healthy, although he got a little stressed when he came to his foster home and had to have some medication to soothe his tummy. But he's all better now. 

He likes to play with people and is trying to play with his foster's dog, but she isn't too keen on the idea. Hiro is as adorable as he is sweet, and while he's an older guy, Pekingeses are known to live well into their teen years. 

He would make a great companion for someone who wants a companion to keep them company while they're reading, watching TV or taking a little snooze. He also enjoys walks and, as we said, toy time. 

We don't know how he would be with cats or children, but given his age and size, no small youngsters, please.
