Braveheart needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
Braveheart wound up in the Carson shelter with little interest in saving him. When we saw that he had a terribly injured hind leg, we knew we needed to help him. So off to our vet he went, where he lost that leg (It was so badly ruined there was no other choice), along with his boy parts. Since he had stopped using the leg, losing it hasn't been a hardship, although he's had to get used to not having the weight of his ruined leg. But he's doing great! He is one of the sweetest dogs we've ever met. He would love to share his life with someone who will let him curl up in their lap or on the couch next to them. He can be a little jealous of other dogs so probably would do best as the only dog in the house. But with Braveheart by your side, you won't need any more love -- he has so much to give! We've noticed he has an inordinate interest in doors and gates, so we're betting he can be an escape artist -- quite possible how he got out and injured. He will need a secure yard with gates that lock or can be secured and a home where his people will be willing to keep an eye on him to make sure he stays where he should be (meaning: no open doors!)
